The second church was built in the late 1950’s under the direction of Father Ignatius Lenchowski. Coadjutor-Archbishop Anthony Jordan, OMI blessed it on June 29, 1960 and dedicated it to Saints Peter and Paul.

On July 28, 1985 Archbishop J.N. MacNeil presided the 75th anniversary of the foundation of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, Hay Lakes.
