Welcome
Welcome to the Canadian Polish Historical Society's (CPHS) virtual museum established in spring 2013. The museum exhibits historical information related to Polish settlers and pioneers in Edmonton and area, and their commitments to heritage education. The museum also includes memoires of Second World War survivors and artifacts such as war medals, documents, ancient agricultural and kitchen tool, and Polish ethnic costumes all with photographs and descriptions.
Because of the lack of physical venue and the realization that the time is taking its toll on the last of the war survivors, we decided to create this virtual museum and publish their memoirs, preserve their records and tell the world about their heroic experiences.
A working group has been established among the CPHS members to create and advance this project. The group includes: Szymon Bamburak, Grazyna Nowak, Helena Fita and Andrzej Proczkowski.
We hope that you enjoy your virtual visit.
